Magazine Cover Comparisons

Covers for Business Magazines should impact the viewer into aspire greater things in life, or representing successful individuals in order to illustrate the top lifestyle in today's society; while, at the same time educating and showing the public how to achieve the same success.


Entrepreneur Magazine 
main image: Entrepreneur Magazine uses Maria Sharapova along with always one entrepreneur as their main image, usually a great use of a business or success symbol.
Banner:  Entrepreneur places their banner at the top of their magazine across all covers, to promote something exclusive for example an interview which they want the reader to identify.
Puff:  an incentive which is placed on the cover to make something stand out. Usually by putting text around a shape.
Color scheme: the color scheme of the magazine depends on the dominant color of the main image, thus usually as background to the entrepreneur.
Font package: Entrepreneur uses the same font mixing as always, by using a contrast of sanserif as the titles, and serif as the incentives.serif as the masthead and sans-serif as titles.

Bloomberg Businessweek Magazine
main image: Bloomberg Businessweek Magazine uses Mark Zuckerberg which attracts various markets because of his popularity and Facebook. Also, headlines of current events surrounding Zuckerberg are placed around him to add to the scandalous theme the magazine is going for. This similar idea is kept throughout the covers usually representing what the person in the image does as a career.
Banner:  Banners are used within the main image to promote the ongoing scandal behind Facebook and its data breach, or to represent turmoil for President Obama, or show the "Future of Media".
Buzzword:  Due to the spirituality of the magazine and the content and viewers being business and news followers, the magazine does not include propaganda in its over.
Color scheme: The color scheme used for Bloomberg is always two different colors that stand out in comparison, the first cover is balck and red, then white and black, and the last is red and white.
Font package: the collection of fonts used in the publication is always sans-serif to show modernity.
